Webinar - Can I refuse to see unvaccinated patients?

  • Dates: 09 – 09 Nov, 2021

Time: 19.00

Location
: Online

Cost: No additional charge for members

The scientific evidence clearly demonstrates that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are far less likely to contract the virus, be symptomatic or hospitalised. As result of the vaccine, consulting with unvaccinated patients presents a greater risk to us, our staff and other patients. Many members are asking – do I have to see unvaccinated patients?

Dr Samantha King will examine this complex issue in discussion with a panel of experts – lawyers Mr Adam Holloway and Mr Harry Waalkend QC and Dr David Crum, Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand Dental Association.

By the end of this webinar you’ll gain a greater understanding of:

  • the views of the regulators, the HDC and Human Rights Commission
  • factors that should be considered in making your decision
  • how to minimise your dentolegal risk

Do you have questions for the panel?
