Unsatisfactory communication is a common cause of complaints against dentists and oral healthcare professionals.

Complaints against dentists and oral healthcare team members often stem from poor communication, hindering effective and safe care. This can lead to unexpected outcomes and patient grievances due to communication breakdowns within the treating team.

Professionals are ethically obliged to communicate effectively with patients, ensuring clarity in diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and risk understanding.

To address these challenges in the digital era, Ethics for All 2023 will be centred on the theme "Ethical and professional communication in the digital era."

During the conference, renowned experts will discuss effective patient and colleague communication, offering practical solutions for predictably satisfactory outcomes.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Using social media responsibly and professionally when marketing your services
  • Dealing with challenging online feedback from patients
  • Sharing patient information safely with other colleagues

Presented by Dental Protection, the 16th edition of Ethics for All aims to provide valuable insights, enhance careers, and deepen understanding of ethical and dentolegal matters.

By attending this FREE event, open to all members and non-members, participants can reduce the risk of complaints and avoid potential pitfalls in their practice.
