Dental Protection has no financial arrangement with 32Co. The partnership is based on a mutual aim to reduce risk in dentists providing aligner treatment.

32Co and Dental Protection do not share any data. For example, 32Co will never discuss specific cases or dentists with Dental Protection, and Dental Protection will never share any information about its members.

Completion of either the 32Co Clear Aligner Starter Course or Clear Aligner Stretch Course will count towards five RiskCredits, whereby Dental Protection offers a reduced subscription as a reward to dentists who complete a minimum of ten hours of qualifying continuing professional development (CPD).

The partnership also allows Dental Protection members to benefit from a queue jump when accessing the Starter and Stretch courses; both regularly fill up, and so being a member of Dental Protection allows dentists to receive their free training without waiting.

No, 32Co training is separate to the use of the platform to purchase aligners.

While the Starter course does require the dentist to put their new diagnostic and clinical skills into practice by submitting a patient to the platform, they are under no obligation to proceed with treatment.

No, 32Co does not manufacture aligners. 32Co is a platform which helps dentists access training, provides treatment planning services with orthodontists and gives dentists access to a marketplace of global manufacturers of clear aligners. Users of the marketplace will get access to fairer pricing, as volumes are pooled to get all users the best prices regardless of their level of experience.

There is a 15-hour time commitment, although this can be done from home. This is not a course to take lightly! There is a lot of high-quality content created and delivered by orthodontists to get through.

It covers each aspect of diagnosis, planning and the safe delivery of aligner treatment. We ask that all dentists signing up factor this in, and don’t take up a spot if they don’t have the time to allocate to the learning. Once complete, there is no additional time commitment.

32Co as a company was built to increase patient access to quality specialist healthcare, including orthodontics. This goal requires confident, trained clinicians all over the UK and beyond. 32Co believes this investment in dentists will be paid back in time through dentists trialling the other parts of the platform, although there is no obligation to do so.
