Student Competition Terms and Conditions

The student competition is open to Hong Kong dental students at dental schools in Hong Kong.

Employees or agents of The Medical Protection Society Limited ("MPS", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the student competition may not enter the competition.

Entrants into the competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

To enter the competition, you must complete an application for free student membership of Dental Protection, by the closing date of the competition. You must also follow Dental Protection on either Instagram and/or Facebook, by the closing date of the competition. If you have any questions in connection with the competition, please e-mail [email protected] with " Student Competition " in the subject line.

MPS accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by MPS.

The closing date of the student competition is 23:59 on 31 July 2022. Entries received outside this time will not be considered.

One winner will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The winner will be selected by a computerized random generator from all entries. The draw will take place on 10 August 2022.

The prize of an Apple iPad Air will be sent by post to the prize winner within 1 month of the winner being announced.

MPS accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.

The winner will be notified by email on 11 August 2022. If the winner does not respond within 1 week of being notified, a second email will be sent, as well as a text and phone call. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks from 11 August 2022 then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and a second draw will take place. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited.

The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.

The Apple iPad Air must be accepted as offered by the named winner only. MPS reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.

Winners consent to the use of their voice, image, photograph, and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by MPS and its related companies) by MPS and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Student Competition for an unlimited time. These may be used in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Student Competition, all entrants agree to the same. Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Student Competition and shall participate in such activity on MPS's reasonable request.

MPS shall use any personal information supplied as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://www.dentalprotection.org/home/footer-group/privacy-and-cookie-notice, and in accordance with data protection legislation.

MPS reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Student Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud). The decision of MPS in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.

MPS shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, cyber-crime, data breach, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures.

The competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the student competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
