Webinar: Saying no

  • Dates: 12 – 12 May, 2021
Date: Wednesday 12 May

Time: 19.30 AEST

Location: Online

Cost: No additional charge for members

Suitable for: All dental members in Australia

In this one-hour interactive webinar, we will explore when it might be necessary to say ‘no’ to a patient, colleague or supplier. We’ll look at when it could be justified and discuss why it may be better to say ‘no’ rather than regret your decision later.

Dental Protection experts, Dr Simon Parsons and Dr Annalene Weston will consider how to say ‘no’ while maintaining mutual respect and minimising the risk of causing offence or retaliation. Using examples of clinical situations, they will illustrate why saying ‘no’ is crucial to staying safe and reducing your risk of dentolegal action.

By the end of this webinar you’ll gain a greater understanding of:

  • Identifying situations where saying no can reduce your dentolegal risk
  • Why it’s important to listen to your inner voice and trust your instincts
  • How to say no in a way that demonstrates respect but stays assertive
