After graduating from London’s University College Hospital Dr Raj Rattan MBE spent 30 years in general dental practice. Here he became the principal and co-principal of a group of practices and also Strategic Associate Dean in the London Deanery.

Raj was appointed as a Policy Adviser to the Department of Health. He gained extensive experience of the NHS, private and corporate sectors, writing books on clinical governance, quality assurance and business management. Dr Raj Rattan became a Dental Director for Dental Protection in 2016.

Dr Alasdair McKelvie
Dentolegal consultant, Dental Protection

Dr Alasdair McKelvie joined Dental Protection in 2008 as a full time dentolegal consultant. Beforehand, Dr McKelvie had worked in general practice for 24 years having qualified with BDS at Dundee University in 1984. He took a sideways step in 2005 and qualified with an LLM in healthcare law from the Cardiff Law school. Now based in Leeds, Dr Alasdair is the Dental Lead for Dental Protection in Southern Africa.
