Positive communication with patients is powerful, as this brief case illustrates...

During a denture ‘ease’ appointment, one week after a new set of full dentures had been inserted for a lady of advanced years, she proudly announced to her dentist that she could now hear better than she could before.

Instead of ‘rubbishing’ this suggestion, the dentist said this was excellent news – her communication with the dentist would now be twice as good as it had ever been!
