Dental Protection’s Super Fantastic Dental School Prize Money Giveaway a fantastic opportunity to help your Dental Society win a cash prize! This will help your committee to put on even bigger school events!

To be in with the chance of winning the cash prize, each dental school must try to get as many students to update their contact details with Dental Protection. The dental school with the highest percentage of updated details will be awarded the prize of £500*. Go on; help your dental committee out!

To enter the competition, you can either see your DPL rep (Ailidh, Alex or Kanta) at any school event where you will be given an ‘update your details’ card to fill out and return, or alternatively you can simply click here to update your contact details immediately:

2014 Elective Photo Competition - Winner!

Congratulations to Libby Richardson from KCL dental school, she is the winner of the Elective Photo Competition!!!

The winning photo is A view across the Aitutaki lagoon to some of the most remote islands from a traditional Polynesian style catamaran.The Cook Islands, South Pacific.

Gorilla trekking the Nkuringo family of wild gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - This was the first gorilla we encountered from the family, and was found showing off his near human like dentition whilst tucking in to his mid-morning snack!

Dental Students Got Talent!

This year we have had more videos submitted than ever before demonstrating some amazing talents ranging from baking to illustration, from sports people to singers and musicians. The quality of videos received has been exceptional, and after much careful consideration we are very pleased to announce the winners!

  • Delsa Ghorbani from Manchester Dental School wins first prize of £1,500 for her beautiful version of 'Habanera' from Georges Bizet's opera, Carmen.
  • The second prize of £500 goes to Ameer Allybocus from Birmingham Dental School for 'Talk Dental to Me', his outstanding musical collaboration with the Motherphunky Dentists.
  • And last but not least, third prize of £250 goes to Lewis Olsson from Glasgow Dental School for his unique bagpipe cover of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up'.
