Lack of registration
CQC believes that 26 dental practices remain unregistered and further action will be taken by the ‘unregistered services team’. Dental Protection’s advice is that, if a Provider should have registered with CQC and has not, to register now. Providing regulated activities without CQC registration leaves a provider vulnerable to prosecution, fine, GDC referral and breach of NHS contract.
Refusal of registration
CQC advises that some Providers have been refused registration due to not having an eCRB, and those providers are going through the representations and appeals procedure. Dental Protection’s advice is, if a CRB has not been obtained, apply now and provide CQC with evidence of application.
