Dental Protection expands its ‘Horizons'
23 December 2009
The Nationwide Roadshow visits Scotland
Following on from the success of last year's events in Scotland, Dental Protection is pleased to announce that the Horizons series is again visiting cities around Scotland.
Acting on feedback received from members, Dental Protection will repeat the Horizons programme in three further cities in Scotland this year.
The team-focused, evening events will see renowned speakers present on relevant and practical subjects that will be useful for all members of the practice team, both GDC registered and non-registered.
During May 2010, Horizons will visit Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.
Speakers Hugh Harvie and Kevin Lewis will be presenting at the sessions, entitled The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, which will explore the management of difficult people and difficult situations that arise throughout the practice - from chairside to reception.
Kevin Lewis, Director of Dental Protection, said,
"We were overwhelmed by the response to last year's Horizons events in Scotland, and are pleased to be running more events. Our aim is to bring quality programmes closer to home for more of our members, and in that spirit this same programme has recently been taken to our members in 17 cities all over Australia and will shortly be delivered to members in the rest of the UK."
Including 2.5 hours verifiable CPD for all members of the dental team who are GDC-registered, the evening will also give delegates a chance to meet some of the Dental Protection advisory team face to face and to familiarise themselves with the range of benefits available to members.
Horizons builds on the success of two other events organised by Dental Protection; the Premier Symposium in conjunction with Schülke and the Young Dentist Conference in association with the BDA and BDJ.
Tickets cost £60 for members and £75 for non-members. Tickets for DPL Xtra Practices and their staff are priced at just £50 per person, and accompanying staff members can attend free of charge.
