25 - 27 May 2010 - Horizons Roadshow (Scotland)

Further to the successful events held in venues throughout Scotland during 2009, Dental Protection will be continuing the Horizons tour during May 2010.

The programme, 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' explores the way people think and behave, the good and poor decisions we make, and will discuss how bad situations are likely to develop and how we can control and learn from them. Using real situations from DPL's extensive case files, particpants will be able to examine them and suggest alternative ways of managing the same situations, including effective listening, decision making under pressure, challenging patients and sticky situations both in the surgery and at reception.

Delivered by Kevin Lewis, the programme is suitable for all members of the dental team, both GDC registered and non-registered.

Horizons will visit:

25 May - Glasgow Marriott
26 May - Surgeons' Hall, Edinburgh
27 May - Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee

Each session will provide GDC registered members of the team with 2.5 hours verifiable CPD.

Tickets are priced £50 for DPL Xtra members, £60 for DPL members, £75 for non-members and accompanying staff members free of charge.
