Workshop Overview
International research shows that clinicians can reduce the risk of complaints and claims by improving communication skills and better managing patient relationships.
This highly interactive 3 hour workshop gives a thorough grounding in the issues surrounding risk management and introduces practical and preventative techniques that dentists can implement immediately to reduce exposure to complaints and litigation.
The workshop will cover:
- The motivation behind why patients complain
- The importance of managing patients expectations
- Practical skills to enhance communication with patients
- Effective management of patient questions regarding care provided by other healthcare professionals.

Format

Presenters/facilitators
All Mastering Your Risk presenters are dental practitioners or specialists who have specific interest in communication skills and have undertaken formal communication skills training with DPL.
