Associate Dento-Legal Adviser

Martin qualified in Birmingham in 1974 and worked there for three years, before moving to Zimbabwe. He worked in a city centre practice in Harare for two years, before returning to the UK. Soon after, he left again to work in a military hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia, for a period of four years.

Since his return to the UK in 1983, he has worked both as an associate and as a principal in Cheshire. During this time he also worked part-time as a Clinical Assistant in Orthodontics at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral.

Martin was a vocational trainer for 16 years, and is now VT Adviser for the Chester scheme, based at Chester University. He has been Wirral Postgraduate Dental Tutor since 2002, and organises and teaches on a bi-annual "Introduction to Working in the NHS" course for overseas graduates.

For the last twelve years he has been a Clinical Tutor in Communication Skills in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Liverpool. Martin  joined Dental Protection as a Local Dental Adviser in 2001, and became an Associate Dento-Legal Adviser in 2008.
