Dental Protection are pleased to be working with the BDA to bring you an interactive, informative and engaging event to raise awareness of the fitness to practise process, from the initial patient complaint, through to a potential Fitness to Practise hearing.
This innovative event will take a unique ‘behind the scenes’ look at the processes that are involved and the likely impacts, and draws upon the experience of former members of the GDC, Dental Protection and the BDA.
Put yourself in the shoes of the Investigating Committee; review case notes, hear from the complainant, caseworkers, prosecution, expert witnesses and members of the Investigating and Fitness to Practise Committees. Make your own judgements on the allegations of impaired fitness to practise and consider the various sanctions available. Explore and debate some fictitious complaints and watch a hearing ‘come to life’ in an authentic re-enactment. The event is suitable for all GDC registered members of the team and includes 5.5 hours core verifiable CPD.
