Benefits of graduate membership:

  • 18 months extended indemnity
You receive 18 months indemnity from the date you start work. This gives you full cover for 18 months, so no extra cost. As a member of DPL you are able to apply for a professional indemnity insurance policy with $20m of cover underwritten by MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd (MDANI)
  • Emergency dento-legal helpline
To prevent any sleepless nights, you will have access to our experienced team of 58 dento-legal advisers, including an emergency helpline available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Free law, ethics and risk management CD-ROMs
12 ethics and 36 risk management modules. Modules including consent and record keeping.
  • Your own publication
Riskwise, a biannual publication, covers a broad range of risk management issues, covering key issues faced by young dentists.
  • Advice and support during your course
One of the benefits of free student membership with Dental Protection is help and support during your course. We believe that it is important to be able to speak to an experienced professional colleague, who can understand and empathise with the situation you are in.

Working abroad?

Many graduates consider working abroad as an option following qualification and vocational training. DPL operates internationally which means it is likely that your membership can travel with you.

We operate in 70 countries worldwide so it is likely we will be able to indemnify you in your chosen destination.
