Strategies for predictable quality assurance and practice success

Consistent success – whether in dentistry or in business - doesn’t happen by accident. It is almost always the result of hard work and careful planning. But there is a world of difference between how we measure success, as dental health professionals, and how patients decide who is (and isn’t) a good dentist, hygienist, therapist etc. This difference lies at the heart of how patients choose a dentist, what patients are prepared to pay for their treatment, what a Dental Board and other third parties consider to be “good” and “bad” treatment, and - crucially – who gets sued and complained about, and who doesn’t.
This presentation will take a sideways look at all of the above issues, look at the changing competitive environment and ways to succeed within it, and prompt us to ask whether we are investing in our practices in the right way(s) if we want to maximise our chances of sustained success.
