Dental Protection Ltd (DPL) provides indemnity, support and professional resources to dentists and dental allied professionals in the English speaking areas of the West Indies, extending from the Bahamas in the North to Belize in the West, and Guyana in the South on mainland South America. Although we have always had a presence in the region, Dental Protection has taken a much higher profile in the last ten years and is now the largest indemnifier of dentists and the dental profession in the region.
Dentists in the Caribbean, as in other parts of the world, are becoming more ambitious in the range and complexity of treatment they provide. This is coupled with the fact that appropriate post graduate training is not always readily available at home and dentists have to travel abroad at great expense for further training. Dental Protection is very committed to providing risk management programmes to our members and we do this by holding seminars around the region and by making our Risk Management Modules available to dentists at a modest cost.
