Update on Dental Protection indemnity

25 October 2010

Regulations relating to indemnity cover for registered health practitioners have been repealed by the Minister of Health

We are delighted to inform members of Dental Protection that the Minister of Health, after consultation with the HPCSA has repealed the regulations relating to indemnity cover for registered health practitioners. Over the past few months we have worked hard to ensure that all stakeholders were aware of the impact that the regulations would have had on Dental Protection, MPS and in particular our members. We are pleased to hear that the Minister has decided to repeal the regulations. We continue to be committed to offering our members in South Africa the best possible indemnity and, members can confidently renew their MPS subscriptions for 2011.
