Dental Protection has developed an online learning platform for members. Once registered, you can browse through a range of online courses and modules, select the ones you are interested in, and complete them at a time that is convenient. After finishing a course, you will be able to download a certificate detailing how many hours of verified CPD learning you have accumulated. All courses and modules have been created by dento-legal experts to help you keep your knowledge up-to-date.
The 'latest courses' section on the E-learning homepage will automatically be updated with courses that we think will be of interest to you, based on your membership category. All courses are available free of charge as a benefit of your membership with DPL.
New modules available - Managing Risk series
The first three modules of our new Managing Risk series are now available on the educational platform. These interactive 30 minute modules reflect some of the most common areas of complaint dealt with by DPL.
- Clinical Records - discusses the common areas of risk from poor clinical record keeping that may lead to dento-legal claims. You will build an understanding of the components of good record keeping and how to implement this into your practice.
- Periodontal Disease – this module examines what good periodontal practice means, suggesting ways of improving the management of and the risks associated with the disease.
- Sedation – examines the duty of care you have with regards to sedation practice, providing you with techniques to help minimise your risk and improve patient safety.
