DPL is committed to providing Australian dentists with education that reduces their risk of compliant and claim, and improves outcomes for their patients. In 2010 more than 500 Australian dentists attended DPL’s Mastering Your Risk workshops.
2011 will see the launch of a new workshop—Mastering Adverse Outcomes. This workshop gives dentists proven techniques and skills to identify and deal with patients who are extremely disappointed with the outcome of their treatment. Evidence shows that how a dentist communicates with a disappointed patient is a key factor in the patient’s decision to make a complaint or claim.
